Privacy (GDPR)

Jonas: Strabismus Therapy is a web app for eye training in strabismus. We take privacy seriously — especially because it involves sensitive data (a patient's face on camera). Here is what happens with data.

Patient data NEVER leaves your device

The camera image, the deviation measurement, and session recordings are not sent to any server. Everything runs directly in your browser. Recordings are saved only to a folder you choose on your own computer. We neither store nor see any of it.

What we process

  • Anonymous usage statistics — Google Analytics (visits, country, pages viewed). The statistics are anonymized; you can opt out in your browser settings (blocking cookies) or with the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on.
  • Functional cookies — the site language; for content admins, a sign-in cookie (Google). These are needed for the site to work and don't require consent.

Sign-in

Google sign-in is only for content administration (the author). Regular users don't need to sign in.

What we don't do

We don't sell data, show ads, or share data with third parties (except anonymous statistics via Google Analytics).

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. But since we store no patient data, there is nothing on our side to delete — it stays on your device. For anything else, write to [email protected].

Hosting

The site is hosted on Railway. It is not a medical device and does not replace orthoptic or medical care.
